At the weekend I got out my Gelliplatte again after a long time. By now, my desk was piled high with faces that I’d ripped out of magazines everywhere.
My favorite topic at Gelliprint is still the Magazine Print and so I’m experimenting a bit: different shades of blue and yellow (I used acrylic paints from Schminke) printed on old maps.
I found out that the old maps from the 50s and 60s are particularly suitable because the paper is not yet coated.
The grunge effect really comes into its own on the old paper.
Magazine print is always a bit magic and with the maps there is another element of surprise.
